Toppings

Easy Homemade Gold BBQ Sauce

Instructions

Jackfruit Sliders

  1. Drain can of jackfruit and rinse well. Break apart pieces apart with hands into small shreds, removing any large seeds or hard pieces and place in a bowl. Toss with salt, pepper and 1 tbsp gold bbq sauce. Set aside.

  2. Slice onion into thin half moons. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add a drizle of olive oil and saute onion for 10-15 minutes or until browned. Adding 1-2 tbsp of water from time to time will help speed up the cooking process.

  3. While onion is cooking, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place slider buns, outer side facing down onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and top one half of slider with a slice of brie cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese starts to melt and slider buns turn a golden brown.

  4. When onion is golden and soft, add another 2 tbsp olive oil to pan. Toss in jackfruit and saute for 4-5 minutes or until it starts to brown and get crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.

To Assemble Sliders:

  1. Place cherry preserves on bottom slider bun. Top with jackfruit mixture, coleslaw, a drizzle of gold bbq sauce, pepperoncinis and some sriracha if you like spicy. Enjoy!

  2. Gold BBQ Sauce

  3. Add all ingredients to a mason jar, seal and shake well.
