Welcome to the last bread you will ever want to make: an absurdly delicious and tender Quick Homemade White Bread with Garlic Herb Dip that comes together from start to finish in an hour or less!
Hello all! I hope all is well! It’s been a hot second since I posted anything, so when I finally did, I wanted to make sure it was spectacular, delicious and most of all EASY! Yes, that is the season of life I am in right now, one where I crave homemade tasty treats, but with the difficulty of always being out of time to devote to these projects. I love all kinds of bread: sourdough, french, etc, but currently, tasty homemade Bread that can be on the table in under an hour is where it is at for me.
In addition to working, finishing school and being a full-time wife/mom secretary/cook/driver/etc of mi casa, I somehow thought it was a great idea to add in decorating cakes as a side gig. While it allows me an excellent and much needed creative outlet, it also narrows the time I have for one of my biggest loves: cooking from scratch. I didn’t want to give this up completely, so as a creature of adaptation, I naturally looked for a way to fit this in and find balance. There may have been some ugly crying along the way, but in the end, I will find a way to make it work and still get to sample all the things that life has to offer. Just within the time frame they need to be in to keep my sanity intact.
The reason I LOVE this quick homemade white bread with garlic herb dip is because I can legit have it done from start to finish, with the butter sauce in less than 1 hour. It does not require a fancy yeast or flour, although instant yeast and organic flour is always recommended ;) The dip is the perfect balance of butter and olive oil so that it is not over the top rich. It comes together so fast that it almost shouldn’t be allowed to taste as good as it does! I highly recommend using a mixer with a knead dough hook to make your like even easier. My fav is the kitchen aid, which is always available on Amazon, but can frequently be found discounted on FB marketplace for a great price too. This bread also makes some fun variations. Check out the notes under the recipe to see what unique things you can do with just one quick bread recipe!
Fun fact: this recipe can also be made into rolls! After the dough has been kneaded, divide equally into 24 portions and shape each one into a ball, pinching the dough under and placing seam side down on a greased pan or piece of parchment. Keep a few inches in between each one. Let rise for 20 minutes and then cut a slit in the top of each roll. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 450 degrees or until the tops are golden. Brush with butter after removed from oven and serve warm.

Homemade Bread with Garlic Herb Butter Dip
Garlic Herb Butter Dip
- 1 stick butter
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp Italian herbs dry
- 1/2 cup oil
Heat water in microwave for approx 45 seconds, or until warm to the touch but not too hot where you cant tolerate it on your skin. Mix in sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Add in yeast and give a quick mix. Set aside for 5 to 10 minutes or until nice and foamy.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Meanwhile, add flour and salt to a mixer. With the paddle blade, mix together for 30 seconds. When yeast mix is ready, add to flour mix and stir to combine, about 20 seconds. Some of the flour will be on the bottom. Drizzle in olive oil (approx 1/4 cup but may need more or less) just until all the flour is incorporated into the dough.
Switch to the dough hook on mixer. Knead at a medium speed for 5 minutes. Move dough to a greased 9 x 5 bread pan. Let rise for about 20 minutes, or until bread has risen up significantly over the pan. It will double to triple in size. Bake pan in center of oven for 15 to 17 minutes. Remove from oven. Let sit in pan for 10 min and then remove to cool completely on a wire rack. Brush with melted butter if desired. Slice and enjoy!
